Teacher Workshops

The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston expects to schedule teacher workshops periodically throughout the year. Three categories of workshops are planned:

  • workshops focusing on Adventure themes, use of the Adventure web site, and making the most of a visit to the Adventure.

  • workshops focusing on the Boston Renaissance Resource Kit, Tinkerplots, or the ResearchNet. These are programs developed by Northeastern University, the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and the Boston Fed, respectively, to give students an opportunity to conduct data-based research. The workshops will offer software training and best practices in using the programs.

  • workshops focusing on other economic education initiatives of the Boston Fed and Federal Reserve System in addition to the Economic Adventure.

Teacher workshops will be announced on the Adventure web site and through mailings to our list of economic education teachers. School systems and groups of teachers may also request specific workshops, and the Bank will try to accommodate these requests. Interested school systems and groups of teachers should contact Mark Lloret at 1-800-409-1333. For most workshops, there is a limit of 40 participants at a time.
